How Tagging Strategies Transform Marketing Campaigns

As a marketer, I understand how today’s marketing campaigns face fierce competition. With so much content and ads competing for eyeballs, creating campaigns that stand out is no easy task.  That’s where strategies like tagging come in.  It helps you categorize and optimize your marketing efforts. It also helps your campaigns cut through the noise and reach the right audience. To help you out, I’ve compiled nine ways brands use a tagging strategy to create an impactful marketing campaign.  Let’s get to it.  How Brands Use a Tagging Strategy Tagging involves using keywords or labels to categorize and organize content, products, or customer data. You attach tags to specific items or information to make searching, sorting, and analyzing data easier.  There are various type...

A Better Google Analytics Alternative

Our recent migration to GA4 left a lot to be desired and led us to explore for better google analytics alternatives. We tried just about everything out there, including Plausible, Fathom, and several others, all with their own pros and cons. The biggest hurdles were: limited features and higher costs. That’s why we were so excited when we stumbled across Fullres recently. Not only do they have the best pricing around but they’re bundling multiple tools we use—ad revenue, analytics, web vitals—all into a single platform. Usually, you have to subscribe to multiple services and jump between browser tabs to see that amount of data together. Looking at their roadmap, there’s a lot more coming too. Fullres also stood out with their quick 5-second installation setup. You get instant access to aud...

Rank Higher and Capture Leads with Video SEO

Search engine optimization is becoming incredibly challenging and unpredictable. As search engines are integrating generative AI and learning to surface more diverse results, creating a strategy to rank your pages in the top 5 takes a lot of trial and error. Video marketing is almost equally challenging. Gone are the days when you had to invest in professional equipment and hire an editor to be able to create a video. These days anyone can create great videos at home and edit them using affordable software. The competition is insane. So where is the opportunity here? It’s in combining these two marketing channels. Let me explain: Videos rank incredibly well in Google (they have their own sections in search results, so you are not competing with giants) Not many video mark...

Transitioning from Google Analytics Universal to Google Analytics 4 ⭐MonstersPost

Google introduced its new analytics system back in the fall of 2020. Users had the choice to continue tracking their metrics in Universal Analytics or make an immediate transition to the next-generation analytics. However, starting from July 1st of this year, the option to choose will no longer be available as GA3 in its familiar interface ceases operation. In this article, we delve into how to collect data in Google Analytics 4, the changes that have occurred in the reports, and why sessions in GA3 ≠ sessions in GA4. Our exploration is led by Pavlo Fortelnyi, the Team Lead of the Analytics Department at Promodo, who provides a detailed breakdown of these topics. What will happen to historical data after transitioning to GA4? Let's put your mind at ease: there will be no immediate loss of ...

The Top Chatbot Analytics Tools to Drive Conversion and Containment | by Master Of Code Global | Jan, 2023

It’s pretty difficult to overestimate the benefits AI-powered chatbots offer businesses, from agent cost savings due to solving repetitive requests, the opportunities continue to grow. According to Juniper research, cost savings, up-selling, marketing, and cart recovery are major retailer chatbot ‘push’ factors. Retailers will take advantage of these opportunities; propelling Conversational AI in eCommerce driving transactions via chatbots to reach $112 billion by 2023.However, not all chatbots are created equally. There are many virtual assistants in production that do not have Natural Language Processing (NLP) which means it cannot understand a user’s natural language inputs, causing the bot to be quite limited and robotic, rather than helpful and conversational. To ensure your chatbot’s...

YouTube Shares More Info on its Coming ‘Data Stories’ Analytics Element

YouTube has provided some new info on its Data Stories analytics test, which provides insights into your channel performance in a simple, Stories-like format, and is accessible to some users (at present) via YouTube Studio. YouTube first previewed its Data Stories element in August, with selected users being shown a prompt to access the option from the main Overview page in the Studio app. As you can see here, by tapping on the ‘See how YouTube recommends content’ prompt, users are then able to access the Data Stories element, which provides simplified overviews of key channel performance aspects in a swipeable, full-screen display. YouTube says that Data Stories can currently be displayed for four elements: Audience Content Monetization Education about YouTube The last element relates to...

LinkedIn Looks to Improve Messaging Interactions with ‘Focused Inbox’, Adds New Sales Analytics Tools

LinkedIn’s looking to help members better manage their LinkedIn inbox, by filtering out more of the junk, with a new ‘Focused Inbox’ UI, which will essentially re-route less valuable messages into an ‘Other’ tab in your LinkedIn message stream. As you can see in this example, LinkedIn’s Focused Inbox update will now provide you with two separate InMail tabs – ‘Focused’ and ‘Other’. Though ‘Other’ could just as easily be labeled ‘Spam’ – and it’ll also be interesting to see where LinkedIn’s Sponsored InMails end up in this separation. Like, a lot of those are junk too, but I’m guessing that LinkedIn’s not going to shift them over to the ‘You Can Ignore These Messages’ section if brands are paying to promote them. As explained by LinkedIn: “[The Focused Inbox] is an intelligent, dual-tabb...

Taking a Look at Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics has been a staple in the toolbox of web designers, marketers, and SEO specialists for years. And although there’s a steep learning curve, it offers an in-depth view of who’s visiting your website and the actions they take. The massive piles of data Google Analytics provide hasn’t necessarily kept up with an evolving web, however. Privacy regulations and competitors with leaner products have forced the venerable tool to reconsider its practices. That’s why the next version is likely to surprise some longtime users. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) takes a vastly different approach, with a focus on user events rather than sessions. This eliminates some privacy concerns – not to mention user-specific data that was of interest to those of us reading the reports. And it’s also going to...

YouTube Adds Option to Reuse Details from Previous Videos to Streamline Uploads, New Mobile Analytics

This could come in handy - YouTube has today added a new option in YouTube Studio which enables users to re-use details from previous uploads for new uploads within the posting process on desktop. As you can see here, the new option enables you to re-use: Video title Video description Language settings Shorts sampling permissions Category selections That could save you a lot of time, particularly for those who regularly post on the same topics, or have to manually input language options with each new post. Of course, you’re probably not going to upload many videos with the exact same title and description, but by copying the details across, that could make it easier to edit those details quickly, for similar content, without having to re-enter the same info for each video in a series. Y...

AI-Driven Predictive Analytics in B2B

In Part 1 of this two-part series, we talked about how mission-critical intelligence is often right under our noses but we don't know how to find it. We went through the types of signals contained in such intent data, and how B2B sellers and marketers can work to collect them. But like the Allied codebreakers in World War II, we understand that collecting those signals is only the first step. To actually do anything with them, we need to decode them. In World War II, the critical break came in the form of technology—the Colossus computer. And in B2B, it's technology to the rescue again. B2B's Colossus: Decoding Intent Intent data without predictive analytics is like those mountains of signals the Allied forces gathered but couldn't understand without a computer to decode them—to convert th...

Track the Right Metrics With Holistic Analytics

Are people around you constantly extolling the benefits of metrics and analytics? Web analytics, digital analytics, social media analytics, the list goes on. Yes, we get it. Metrics and ROI are important. But, are you feeling overwhelmed? Are you unsure about where to start, or which metrics to analyze in relation to your specific business context? Google Analytics 4 Is Here

The complexity of the modern Web user's experience has made it critical for marketers to track users across mobile and desktop environments—together. Since 2013, when Google released the third version of Google Analytics, AKA Universal Analytics, it has provided great results for users. But its limitations have become evident, especially in the past two or three years. Enter Google Analytics 4, the much-anticipated update within the Google Analytics product, announced in October 2020. With the proliferation of new platforms, such as mobile apps and IoT devices, a massive influx of new data sources has been created; and as powerful as Universal Analytics was, it simply wasn't up to the task. So Google went back to the drawing board. This article will explain the difference...

How to Track Google Posts in Google Analytics & Search Console

Posted Mar 30, 2021 by Joy Hawkins We have a big study on Google My Business posts that I’m presenting at LocalU on April 7th. While doing that study, there were several things we learned about Google Posts. Clicks in Google My Business Insights Don’t Match Clicks in Google Analytics.  If you’re looking inside Google My Business, they have data showing you how many clicks your posts received. The numbers you see here will not match the numbers you see inside Google Analytics.  There are many reasons for this which I have highlighted in this post. How to Track Google Posts in Google Analytics In order to track the activity from Google Posts in Google Analytics, you need to use UTM codes.  After a ...
