Google Business Profile Tests Cross-Location Posts

Google Business Profile appears to be testing a feature that lets managers share the same update across multiple locations from a single dialog. Tim Capper reported seeing the option. After publishing an update, a “Copy post” dialog appears with the prompt: “Copy the update to other profiles you manage.” You can now post an update across multiple Google Business Profiles After posting this pop up appears if you want to add to other profiles, nice ! pic.twitter.com/tlXHlrxYie — Tim Capper (@GuideTwit) October 16, 2025 The interface displays a list of business locations with checkboxes so you can choose which profiles receive the same update. We’ve asked Google for comment on availability and eligibility requirements and will update this article if we receive a response. What’s New From wh...

Meta Tests DMs on Threads via Instagram Inbox

Good news: You’ll soon be able to send DMs on Threads. Bad news: They won’t be via a dedicated Threads inbox. This week, Meta launched a new live test of DMs on Threads, with some users seeing a new “Message” CTA button on Threads profiles. As you can see in this example, shared by Chris Messina, the new Threads DM option will technically enable you to send messages to users via the app. But as you can see in the bottom prompt, that message won’t be via Threads itself. Instead, you’ll actually be sending your DM to their Instagram inbox. Which is not so bad. I mean, it’s still a DM option within Threads, providing an advanced connection process within the app. But many will be disappointed that Threads isn’t getting its own DM inbox, which, as a replica of Twitter, would bring it more ...

Instagram Tests New Collaborative Posting Option to Encourage Participation

This could be interesting. Instagram is experimenting with a new option that would enable users to add their own images and videos to an existing post, facilitating more direct collaborations in the app. As you can see in this example, shared by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, when switched on, the new option would enable post viewers to submit their own addition for consideration. Any additions would not be displayed until approved by the creator, essentially enabling curated group photo albums and shared experiences in the app. Which Instagram has been leaning into as a key engagement driver of late. Back in 2021, Instagram added the “Add Yours” sticker for Stories, which enables users to prompt others to respond to their Stories content, while it also expanded remixes to all video...

LinkedIn Tests Microsoft Designer Integration to Enable Generative AI Image Creation In-Stream

This could be handy. LinkedIn is testing a new integration with Microsoft Designer, which would provide advanced image creation and visual editing tools direct in-stream in the app. ????NEW ???? The ability to create custom designs and original images on LinkedIn via a new Microsoft Designer experience. I'm part of the beta testing group and tried it out for the first time. pic.twitter.com/CR1FMuC6d8— Lindsey Gamble (@LindseyGamble_) July 24, 2023 As you can see in this example, shared by Mavrck’s Lindsey Gamble, the new Designer integration would provide generative AI tools within your post-creation flow in the app, enabling you to create visual elements based on text-prompts, while you’d also be able to use templates, create GIFs, generate videos, all without having to leave the app. Li...

Instagram Tests New Process to Help Brands Source UGC in the App

Instagram’s testing out a new option that will help brands discover relevant UGC in the app that they can then share as examples to better promote their products in-stream. As you can see in this example, shared by Yolande Haynes on LinkedIn, Instagram is now prompting some Shop managers to ‘Add user-generated content’ to their product listings to further encourage potential purchasers. When you tap through on the prompt, Instagram’s system will then highlight Instagram posts that your business has been tagged in, which you can then associate with your product listings. As per IG: “When a user tags a brand in a post, that brand will have the ability to request permission to feature their products in that post. Users that tag your business will likely appreciate that your brand would lik...

YouTube Tests Podcast Management Options in YouTube Studio

YouTube is taking its next steps into podcasting, with a new test of the capacity to upload and manage podcasts in the YouTube Studio app. As per YouTube: “To make it easier for creators to distribute their podcasts on YouTube, we’re running an experiment that allows you to create a podcast or set an existing playlist as a podcast within Studio.” Those in the experiment will be able to upload a podcast within the ‘Create’ element of YouTube Studio. You’ll also be able to view all of your podcasts in the ‘Content’ menu under a new Podcasts tab. In addition to this, YouTube’s also testing new podcast analytics, which will provide podcast-specific performance insights, making it easier to measure your podcast content in separation from your video uploads. YouTube’s been gradually developing...

Instagram Tests New ‘Notes’ Shelf in IG Direct, Ads on User Profiles

Here are two new Instagram updates, currently in testing, which we’re categorizing under ‘Really?’ Or maybe ‘Ew, no thanks’. Can’t decide. The first is this abomination, which adds a Notes shelf into your IG Direct inbox, where you can post status updates, or whatever you wish, to be shared with connections. As you can see in this example, posted by Owen Williams (and shared by Matt Navarra) Instagram Notes are 60 character long updates that you can leave for all of your connections to see, right at the top of your inbox. I know what you’re thinking: ‘Why?’ Or more likely you’re thinking: ‘Really?’ and ‘Ew, no thanks’. Hence our categorization (we’re open to other suggestions).  But yes, Instagram is looking for another way to spark more engagement, and it obviously thinks that these ‘...

Twitter Tests New Bitmoji Integration to Display Your Digital Character as Your Twitter Profile Image

This is interesting – Twitter is experimenting with a new integration that would enable users to display their Bitmoji character as their Twitter profile image, providing another way to use your digital avatar as a representation of yourself. As you can see in this image, posted by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, Twitter’s testing out a new Bitmoji integration within the profile image upload flow, with an ‘Add Bitmoji’ button to connect your Bitmoji account. Which, of course, would also link your Twitter profile to Snapchat, which owns Bitmoji. Essentially, this integration would provide a direct link between your Snapchat profile, where you create your Bitmoji character, and Twitter, which may be the first time that the two platforms have partnered on a direct integration of this type...

Reddit Tests ‘Mod Notes’ to Provide More Insight on Users and Their Contributions in Communities

Reddit has launched an interesting experiment which essentially provides advice and ratings on contributors to subreddits, enabling more context as to how the user has contributed in the past. As you can see in this example, Reddit has launched a new test of what it’s calling ‘Mod Notes’, which enables moderators to create informational notes and tips that are then attached to a user profile for that community. Here’s another look at the Mod Notes process, which also includes a full log of notes and mod actions applied to a user within a specific subreddit.  As explained by Reddit: “The profile hovercard will be your home base for accessing Mod Notes and any moderator with Manage User permissions will be able to utilize it.” So it’s not intended to be a public-facing info source, as such...

Facebook Tests New ‘Community Awards’ to Encourage Engagement in Groups

Facebook’s trying out another way to boost positive contributions in groups, with a new feature called ‘Community Awards’ now in live testing. As per this screenshot, posted by app researcher Radu Oncescu (and shared by Matt Navarra), Facebook’s Community Awards will enable group admins to give awards to ‘outstanding group comments’. The new prompts are also being shown beneath group posts. The idea is that by rewarding more engaging, more beneficial interactions, that you can encourage individual users to interact more often, while the awards will also highlight to other group members what types of comments you want to see, which could help to improve overall interaction. Facebook’s tried similar group engagement markers in the past, with ‘Top Fan’ and other badge types to recognize key...

How to maintain chatbot regression tests with minimum effort | by Gergye Szabolcs | Jun, 2021

The biggest and the most hateful challenge in software development is writing test cases and maintaining them. This is no different when it comes to chatbot development. At Botium we don’t write the regression tests, we generate them. This article shows you how we do this with the least amount of effort invested. To reach the best coverage you have to define all possible conversations of your conversation model. To implement and maintain it manually is really time consuming and sometimes a boring task, not to mention the human mistakes which can easily happen even in the case of a pretty simple chatbot. We have implemented a Crawler tool which will help you to do it in a very simple way.The Crawler detects the buttons and the quick replies and makes conversations along them. The conversatio...

By Kelly Forst February 4, 2021 Take the guesswork out of email marketing with 9 split test ideas. In marketing, sometimes you don’t know what works until you try. Thankfully, with email split testing, you can easily find out what content your subscribers prefer and send messages that get more opens, clicks, and sales. Too often, people focus almost exclusively on subject line split testing. They optimize their subject lines and boost open rates. However, they rarely split test the content inside their emails. This is a big mistake. After all, a high open rate doesn’t matter if subscribers don’t read the content inside your email and take action. There are simple email content split tests that can have a big impact, like these 9 easy split tests below. Email ...
