How To Use Messenger’s New Recurring Notifications to Create Chatbot Engagement We Haven’t Seen Since 2017, Without Worrying About That Pesky 24 Hour Rule

We have been lucky enough to participate in the beta launch of the new NTN option for Messenger(TM) Chatbots, and over the past six months we have applied it to one client’s 10 day quiz to promote his online course. I’d love to share the results with you if you’re ready to regain the legal opportunity to message your subscribers daily for 30 days, OR weekly for 3 months, OR monthly for a year, without having to identify with a message tag. Ready for a case study of FB(TM) Messenger’s(TM) new recurring notifications option for sending messages to subscribers through your chatbot after 24 hours, more commonly known as the NTN? So, let’s set the stage for the funnel we created for our client.   We did no ads for this client. All the subscribers mostly come from one YouTube video with a Messe...

Can You Get Notifications of New Google Reviews Even When Your GBP Page Is Suspended?

Like my post? Please share! Yes, at least in certain cases.  By my lights, even if your Google Business Profile page has been soft-suspended and you’re locked out of your own page unless and until you re-verify, Google may still send you an email notification that a customer has posted a review.  It’s a ghost in the machine. You won’t get the alert in all cases, of course.  You won’t get notifications if, for instance, someone reviews a GBP page you never created or verified – perhaps one that Google auto-generated.  That’s because Google doesn’t know you have any connection to it. I’d always assumed and observed that if Google makes you re-verify your GBP page to confirm your ownership, you are considered a stranger until you’ve re-verified.   The rules may not be so hard and fast, though...

Meta Announces ‘Recurring Notifications’ for Business Messaging, a Significant Shift in its Platform Approach

This is an unusual switch up in Meta’s business messaging rules. This week, at its first-ever ‘Conversations’ messaging conference, Meta announced ‘Recurring Notifications’ on its Messenger Platform, which will enable businesses to send ‘proactive, automated messages, to people who have opted in to receiving them’. As you can see here, businesses will soon be able to send recurring notifications to users that opt in, with the upfront prompts outlining the frequency of messages that they’ll likely receive if they choose to get them. Businesses will be able to send sales notifications, updates, newsletters – pretty much whatever they like, with the frequency options ranging from daily to monthly, ‘so businesses can reach customers at any moment in their journey’. Which is pretty much the ...

How to Get Review Notifications When You Manage Over 100 Google My Business Listings

Posted May 4, 2021 by Joy Hawkins If you manage more than 100 listings inside your Google My Business dashboard, Google stops sending you email alerts when you get new reviews.  What you select as your settings has no influence on this.  Since we manage over 100 listings in our account, we found a workaround to make sure we were getting these notifications for our clients. Since this automatic setting is based on the number of listings that a particular account manages, the key is to split up the listings into smaller groups using other emails that you have access to.  The following steps will help you accomplish that so you can start getting email alerts again. Sign up for a new Gmail and call it...
