X Continues to Share Misleading Data Notes, As Third Party Reports Show Declines in Usage

Every time you go to write anything about the platform formerly known as Twitter these days, whether you like it or not, whether you intend to or not, you are also going to be wading into political waters. That’s because Elon Musk has made X into a political story in itself, while any criticism is viewed through the lens of personal hate for Elon, and an effort to stop Musk’s inherently political goals. “You hate free speech” is the most common counter, but in reality, nobody hates free speech, and the vast majority of critics aren’t trying to make a comment on Musk or his stated goals. In fact, those same critics have been just as harsh about Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, etc. But Elon has intentionally tried to make criticism of X a bigger issue than just the flaws at X itself. Yet, it’s di...

Learn how Etsy’s Share & Save program can earn you more revenue

By Sean Tinney September 28, 2023 Cha-Ching – that’s the sound of success after each sale you make on your Etsy shop. Then soon after that excitement a little sadness kicks in when you now see the fees you have to pay for that sale. An Etsy transaction fee of 6.5%, a payment processing fee of 3% + $0.25. The costs are reasonable considering you are using Etsy’s platform and benefit from the traffic they generate through their brand recognition. But what if you get that traffic to your store? Shouldn’t your cost be reduced? It is your audience after all. Well, it looks like Etsy agrees. That’s why in September 2023 they launched their Share & Save program. So what is Etsy’s Share & Save program? How does it work? And most importantly, what are the savings? We’l...

Sell PSD at TemplateMonster – Share Your Talent

Creating an impressive image is always important. It is impossible to overestimate the design, whether it is a website, a video, a flyer, etc. Creating a complex image from scratch is a challenging task even for professionals who have years of experience. What if the project is huge? What if you need to come up with multiple designs? Luckily, there is a great chance to save some time – use a premade asset. It is tiring to work on secondary, non-essential details. As a designer, you may make them fast without paying too much attention to the quality. The result is poor quality. Even secondary elements should look great to ma...

Thoughts on WordPress Achieving 40% Market Share

The continued growth of WordPress is something to behold. It seems like just yesterday that we were watching it surpass 30% market share (it was at 29.2% on January 1, 2018), according to the W3Techs survey. Now, the versatile content management system (CMS) has reached a whopping 40%. While there is a wide array of CMS options on the market, WordPress continues to outshine the competition. As of this writing, Shopify occupies second place with a 3.3% share. From January 1, 2020 through February 15, 2021, WordPress usage grew by 3.7% to Shopify’s 1.3%. Even as some competitors grow, WordPress outpaces them. It’s quite an achievement – and one that brings up a few key questions. How did WordPress gain such a massive market share? And what does it have to do in order to maintain its dominanc...
