Great Presentations – What Not to Do

I just watched a webinar offering little-known secrets to powerful presentations. At least I tried to. After nearly 15 minutes of introductions, pitches for future webinars, a poll about attendees' interests, and citations of the speakers' qualifications, no one had said a word about presentations. Or secrets. As for powerful... not in the least. If presenters forget that they're likely to benefit only if their presentation benefits viewers, they'll always seem weak. Maybe it's a symptom of the free model: If we're not going to pay for something, we have to accept what we're given (though that's not really true).
